About Carrie

Hello to y'all! I'm Carrie, a small town southerner with a love for all things beautiful. I'm a junior at the University of Mississippi, and I couldn't be prouder to be an Ole Miss Rebel. I'm majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, headed toward a Masters program somewhere, and in a few years I'll be your kid's/grandma's/Great Aunt Helen's speech-language pathologist. I have a passion for people, and I hope to represent Christ's love to everyone I meet. To know me best, it might help to know a little about my favorite things. Here are a few that I get Carried Away with the most!

Sweet, wonderful Drew. He is clearly handsome and such a smarty, but more importantly, he has the kindest heart of anyone I've ever known. Drew is practicality while I am whimsy.  He is strong and consistent when I am buzzing about.  He is my reminder that sometimes, to grasp God's beauty in its fullness, I have to just be still. I am so thrilled to be walking hand-in-hand with him, and I know that the best is yet to come for us!

This one represents several important factors in my life. First, I adore my sweet mama. She has always provided me with incredible direction and inspiration, not to mention her delightful Southern cooking and decorating skills. Such a Proverbs 31 lady! The other two gals are a couple of my best friends here in Oxford, and they are representative of a much larger group that I can't seem to find a photo of. Lastly, this picture represents one of my favorite things about the South--SEC football! There is no place like the Grove for exquisite tailgating and fun fellowship!

Here's a picture from last year's Bid Day at the Kappa Delta house. KD has been such a great experience during my college years, and I have formed some of my strongest friendships through this group of 300+ girls. It's hard to believe that in just one more year, my life will no longer revolve around girl time, chapter meetings, and dance competitions!

The most beautiful image of all is that of my King facing death on my behalf. As a completely sinful, undeserving girl, I am thankful beyond words for the precious gift of salvation. Without this beautiful image, I would be hopeless. The wonderful experiences of my life would be completely hollow without Christ's sacrifice, and my actions would be completely meaningless. With this picture bound to my heart, I have purpose. Through the blood of this beautiful, perfect Lamb, my life does matter. The brutality and horror of my Lord's death on the cross brings safety and peace to this sinner's heart, and I am on fire to share His greatness with this world and honor Him in all that I do.
